 VIRTUE CAMPAIGN UPDATE

Congratulations to the 3rd/4th grade class who won February's virtue campaign!
Great job building up your treasures in Heaven!

The virtue for the March campaign is Modesty through Human Formation.
In this Lenten season it is a very important time to reflect on yourself and to be even better ambassadors of Christ. This month, the students are encouraged to make that extra step every morning to love Jesus by representing Him not only through their actions but also through their clothing. Wearing the complete uniform, getting a new haircut, and always appearing well put together are simple ways that we can all represent Jesus and everything that He means in our lives.

Happy Easter to everyone!

I hope your Holy Week and Easter were full of joy and blessings! The Easter season is marked in particular by the joy of the Risen Christ. This month we will be helping our students combine that joy with a very important virtue that Jesus lived, obedience. It was through obedience to the Father’s will that Jesus Christ redeemed mankind, so this is a virtue of supreme importance in our Christian lives, as well as in our families! Hopefully, we can team work throughout this month to help each of our students realize the importance of joyful obedience, both at school and at home.

As a means to help the students better understand this virtue, ideas of how to live joyful obedience will be posted on the wall. Each time they live joyful obedience they will uncover part of the risen Jesus standing outside the empty tomb, reminding them that the joy of Easter should characterize our obedience.

I invite each one of us to also reflect on the example of Jesus’ obedience to the Father’s plan, and on the joy that should characterize us. Obedience is virtue that all of us, as children of God, are constantly striving towards.

May the Risen Lord fill you with joy and peace! God Bless!

Virtue of the Month: Zeal for Souls

Father, those who will believe in me are your gift to me.
I wish that where I am they also may be with me...
(John 17:24a)

School Campaign Winners
Lower School: Grade 2
Middle School: Grade 5-6

With the help of our K4J (Kids for Jesus) program, here's what our students will be learning this month...

Virtue of the Month: GIVING: I offer my best to Jesus and others all day long!

Scripture Verse: God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor 9:7)

Virtue Campaign: Give your heart to the One who loves you the most!
The beginning of the school year to begin the habit of visiting Jesus in the chapel to thank him for all the beautiful gifts that he gives us.  Going to the chapel to pray is a great way to grow in our love for Our Lord.  For each visit to the chapel for Mass, or Communion Service, or just to say hello to Jesus, students can place a small white circle on their class monstrance posted just outside the chapel doors.  Our campaign is to see which class will visit Jesus the most this month.

September Virtue Campaign: GIVING - Give your heart to the One who loves you most

Saint of the Month: St. Martin of Tours
St. Martin of Tours. St. Martin was an army officer who wore a long, warm cape. One day he rode his horse near a poor, shivering man. Martin stopped and slit his cape in two with his sword and gave half the cape to the poor, cold man. Later that night when Martin was sleeping, he dreamed that Jesus had taken the place of the poor man and was wearing his cape. St. Martin understood that by GIVING to the poor man, he had GIVEN to Jesus!

St. Martin, help me GIVE to God and others from my heart, as you did!
