With the help of our K4J (Kids for Jesus) program, here's what our students will be learning this month...
Virtue of the Month: GIVING: I offer my best to Jesus and others all day long!
Scripture Verse: God loves a cheerful giver. (2 Cor 9:7)
Virtue Campaign: Give your heart to the One who loves you the most!
The beginning of the school year to begin the habit of visiting Jesus in the chapel to thank him for all the beautiful gifts that he gives us. Going to the chapel to pray is a great way to grow in our love for Our Lord. For each visit to the chapel for Mass, or Communion Service, or just to say hello to Jesus, students can place a small white circle on their class monstrance posted just outside the chapel doors. Our campaign is to see which class will visit Jesus the most this month.
September Virtue Campaign: GIVING - Give your heart to the One who loves you most |
Saint of the Month: St. Martin of Tours
St. Martin of Tours. St. Martin was an army officer who wore a long, warm cape. One day he rode his horse near a poor, shivering man. Martin stopped and slit his cape in two with his sword and gave half the cape to the poor, cold man. Later that night when Martin was sleeping, he dreamed that Jesus had taken the place of the poor man and was wearing his cape. St. Martin understood that by GIVING to the poor man, he had GIVEN to Jesus!
St. Martin, help me GIVE to God and others from my heart, as you did!

Dear Families,
We are thrilled to begin a new year at Everest Academy with all of our lovely students. They all seem so eager to learn, and happy to be at school with their friends. Just looking at the children puts a smile on my face. I know the entire faculty and staff here at Everest feel honored to be working with your children and for this we are very grateful.
For those of you that were not present at Parent Orientation our teachers will be working with our students to come up with a Personal Formation Plan. We will focus on certain goals that we can work to achieve with each student in the four areas of Integral Formation: Spiritual, Human, Apostolic and Intellectual. Our teachers will be certain to meet with you during Parent-Teacher conferences to assure we all are on the same page as to your child’s personal growth in virtue/character.
As part of our Human Formation Program we are trying to help our students focus on certain etiquette points each month in the areas of: Jesus, Others, Yourself (JOY!). This month the points have been:
- JESUS: Respect and proper posture in the chapel: To make a well made genuflection.
- OTHERS: Respect towards authority/peers:
- Treating others as you would like to be treated.
- Look adults and peers in the eyes, firm hand shake etc.
- YOURSELF: Carry yourself with dignity:
- Uniform/External Presentation: shirts tucked in, ties straightened, knee highs pulled up etc.
With these etiquette points we are striving to help our students understand the importance of forming themselves to be the best that they can be in every area.
I would like to ask all of you to read page 25/26 of the Parent Student Handbook in order to review the expectations we have for all of our students in regards to uniform/personal presentation. To highlight a few main points:
I would like to ask all of you to read page 25/26 of the Parent Student Handbook in order to review the expectations we have for all of our students in regards to uniform/personal presentation. To highlight a few main points:
- For girls
- Hair accessories should be complimentary to the school colors
- No nail polish or makeup
- For Boys:
- Hair length should be kept above the collar line at the back and above the ears on the sides.
- No jewelry except for the following: a watch, a single chain (rope bracelets or necklaces are not allowed)
Know that you and your family will be in my prayers and I am greatly looking forward to working with your child(ren) this year. I thank you in advance for all of the love and support you give to your students day in and day out.
Count on my prayers,
Ms. Maher

Dear Everest Academy Parents and Friends,
Congratulations on the completion of week one of the new school year. We are thankful for the wonderful activities that have begun our new school year at Everest Academy thanks to your generosity: Meet and Greet, New Moms' Coffee, Parent Orientation, and the Band Experience meeting. Thank you for your participation.
We are very pleased with the progress of all of our students. Each one has made a special effort to begin the school year on the right course. Our new students seem to have easily adapted to the school community and are making great new friends. We do know however adjustments to homework and routines will take more time. Know that we as a team are available to assist at anytime.
With that said, I must acknowledge our faculty and staff for all of their hard work and efforts to receive our students. Many faculty members were here throughout the summer preparing for their class. Our administration has been continually working to improve our service and educational product to ensure the best quality education for your child (ren). I am very grateful for our staff and faculty members and trust in their competence and generosity.
This is another important year of growth and development in the success of Everest Academy as we move forward in our mission to assist in the development of Christian leaders. To accomplish this, we provide an integral formation through personalized attention, motivated by love and respect for each of our students.
A key factor in the success of Everest Academy is the help and support we have from our parents and for which we are so appreciative. We ask that you please consider taking part in some aspect of the school life which is always a wonderful way to get to know other families and to build new friendships. Most of all, it will allow you to experience our fine students. Next to having Christ present in the Eucharist here on campus, our students are one of the greatest gifts we have at Everest Academy.
We are in most need of team leaders to spearhead the various committees. To head up a committee may appear somewhat daunting; however, please know that we strive to keep things simple and manageable. You will have the help and support you need to accomplish your task. Team leaders have the benefit of working closely with our Parents Association, many of whom are "experts" since they have offered their support with various school activities. Thank you for giving of your time and talent which will allow us to fulfill our goals.
I look forward to working with you and your child(ren). We are interested in getting to know you better. Our desire is to learn how we can specifically serve your family and where together we can work in the best interest of your child’s education and in the ongoing development of our school community. You are co-founding families of Everest Academy, building a school of excellence for your children and future generations.
Please feel free to contact me at anytime. Thank you for allowing us to work in partnership with you, entrusting your child’s care and education to us. We keep all of our families and benefactors in our daily prayers and we as faculty and staff count on your prayers as well.
God bless you,
Sincerely in Christ,
Christine Gamache
