Here's a look back at school events from March 2013

Lenten Family Fun Night

Families gathered for dinner provided by the Parents' Association and Stations of the Cross led by our 3rd and 4th graders.  Click HERE for more photos.

Moms' Coffee

Everest moms were treated to a special Lenten event hosted by our Moms' Fellowship which included an inspirational  talk by Miss Celine Martin and spa services provided by Extasy Hair Studio and Salon, which is owned by Everest mom Monika Greczek Doktoryczyk.

Election of Pope Francis

On March 13th, students gathered in the cafeteria after white smoke was announced.  As we all waited anxiously in the cafeteria for the announcement of our new pope, students, staff and faculty prayed a rosary for the new pope.  The next day, the Parents' Association provided cupcakes to celebrate the election of Pope Francis.

Pi Day

Each March 14th, our middle school students celebrate the number pi (3.14)
with pie tasting.  Thanks to all the families who donated pies for the fun event!

St. Patrick's Day and Green Feast Celebration

Students celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a Green Feast sponsored by our Student Council.
Students were able to taste of host of green foods and drinks such as broccoli, grapes, green peppers, Goddess Green dip, and Green River.

Day for Dad

On the Feast of St. Joseph, a Mass was celebrated in honor of our Everest fathers.
Afterwards, students shared their love for their dads with a special song "Dad is My One Hero," followed by brunch and visits to the classrooms for special activities.

Co-Ed Volleyball

On March 27th, Everest participated in its first Co-Ed Volleyball game.  Even though we lost the game, it was a great experience for our students.  Special thanks to coaches Kelly Russell and Keith Hamilton for helping us put together our first volleyball team!

Living Stations
On Holy Thursday, our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students presented a very moving presentation of the Stations of the Cross for the Everest community, helping us to enter into the Holy Triduum.

No Playing Around

While many were enjoying their Easter break, a few of our Everest dads were taking apart a Lemont playground with hopes putting the equipment to use at on our school grounds.
Thank you to the Lemont Park District for the generous donation and to these dads for their hard work!

About Everest
