Dear Everest Parents,

As part of our Human Formation Program we are trying to help our students focus on certain etiquette points each month in the areas of: Jesus, Others, Yourself (JOY!). With these points we are striving to help our students understand the importance of forming themselves to be the best that they can be in every area.

For the month of October we are focusing on the following etiquette points:

Jesus

- Respect and proper posture in the chapel: Greet Jesus by doing a well made genuflection, right knee touching the floor, and making the sign of the cross.
- Proper uniform/ presentation for Mass: Hair neatly combed, shirts tucked in, sweaters/blazers buttoned up, ties straightened, knee highs pulled up, shoes shined)

Others

Respect towards authority/peers: Treating others as you would like to be treated.
-Greeting teachers, adults, and peers: look them in the eyes, firm hand shake.
-Raising hands and listening while others are speaking.
-Stand to greet visitors that come to classroom

Yourself

Carry yourself with dignity:
- Uniform/External Presentation: shirts tucked in, ties straightened, knee highs pulled up etc.

Thank you for support.

God bless,

Miss Maher

About Everest

Everest Academy Lemont, founded in 1995 as White Pines Academy, is a private Catholic school offering a Pre-K through grade 8 program.

Our goal is to offer each child the highest quality education through Integral Formation®, the pedagogical method developed by the Legionaries of Christ. Through Integral Formation®, each student benefits from a personalized approach that develops the whole person, from intellect and character to spiritual life and apostolic responsibility. The result: intelligent, responsible, and positive leaders who will transform society with the Gospel values.

Here at Everest Academy, with our brand new campus opened for the fall 2009 school year, we are poised for growth and ready to give our students a Catholic educational experience that will last them a lifetime. Find out more by taking a tour of our campus.
