MONDAY
Principal for a Day
The Principal for the Day has the special privilege of leading the school in prayers, visiting each classroom, passing out treats, inviting her closest friends to her office and for a special lunch, not to mention receiving gifts and giving away homework passes!

Student-Teacher/Staff Kickball Game
It was a hard fought game... all the way to the final inning when the score was tied 9-9.  But the faculty-staff team prevailed in this annual competition between students and teachers/staff when Mr. O'Keefe scored the winning run with a home run kick!

TUESDAY
NET Retreat
Our seventh and eighth grade students participated in a retreat at St. Gerard Catholic School. Joining other Catholic middle schools from the archdiocese, students had a great time meeting other students as well as deepening their faith. The retreat was led by NET Ministry volunteers. National Evangelization Teams (NET) consists of young adults ages 18-26 who volunteer for a year to travel and direct retreats for young people. NET Ministries challenges young Catholics to love Christ and embrace the life of the Church. Their example and enthusiasm was an inspiring example for our middle school students.

WEDNESDAY
Teacher Appreciation Day
This was a special day for honoring our faculty and staff.  At a school assembly, students presented their homemade cards and a WE LOVE OUR TEACHERS cheer.  This was followed by a special mass offered for our faculty and staff and a grand luncheon at Orange 13.  A special thank you to our students, families and parents' association for their show of gratitude.

THURSDAY
Jersey Day
Lower School students showed their spirit for their favorite sports team.

Science Fair
After many weeks of hard work and preparation, our Middle School students had the opportunity to show off their science fair projects. The team of scientists, doctors, teachers and engineers who came out to judge their work were quite impressed with our students' work.  Thank you to our Middle Science Teacher for preparing them well, to our parents for their support, and to the judges for their time and expertise.

FRIDAY
Science Fair Awards Ceremony
Parents and teachers were proud as their students were recognized for their excellent work and effort.  First, second, third and fourth place winners from each grade were awarded medals and certificates.  Congratulations to all of our middle school students and good luck to the students who will be presenting in the regional science fair competition next month.

Catechism Contest
In this annual Catholic Schools Week event, students compete in teams to answer questions about the Catholic faith, prayer, and spirituality.

Family Fun Jumpy Night
Each year, our families look forward to this special event that features inflatable bounce houses and obstacle courses.  It was the perfect event to wrap up Catholic Schools Week with our community.  Special thanks to Party Hoppers of Plainfield and Rentals Unlimited of Bolingbrook for providing the entertainment and to the Parents' Association for providing the food and concessions.
