An Update from Miss Maziarz

Dear Everest Families!

It’s great to be back at Everest after a long time away! It was so good to be with the students again! As some of you may know, all of the Consecrated Women of Regnum Christi in the United States met together in Michigan for Christmas, and then in Rhode Island for 10 days for meetings with Bishop Ricardo Blasquez on our consecrated life. In short, I’ve missed all of you!

Seeing all the happy students, families and all the dedicated staff bustling around preparing the school for Open House reminded me of my school days at Everest Academy in Clarkston, MI.

Catholic Schools’ Week (snowed in or not), is a great reminder of what a gift we have received through others who have faithfully passed on the faith. While I was in Michigan, I had the huge gift of visiting my “alma mater” elementary school. My faithful principal, Mr. Richard Cross, gave me a tour! Walking through the hallways was like reliving my days there. There are SO many good memories!! I know that my life’s foundation was built there, in those classrooms, with those amazing teachers and staff, with the Legionary, Fr. Gomez who gave me and brought me to Christ, and with Christ Himself there in that little chapel, so faithful and loving. Wow. I could go on for awhile. What would I have done without those years there? Who would I have become if I hadn’t gone there? Yikes. I wanted to share these thoughts with you, because I’m sure you have had similar experiences, and that you want the same for your children. Believe me that it’s worth every penny to send your kids to Everest. It’s been worth my parents’ every cent…hmmm, I think I can say it’s been worth my whole life.
God bless you dear families, staff and students of Everest! Thank you for your dedication!
I wanted to share some pictures with all of you! The picture below is of Everest Michigan’s boy’s school. They now have another building just for the girls, but we had everyone all together in this building while I attended Everest.

About Everest

Everest Academy Lemont, founded in 1995 as White Pines Academy, is a private Catholic school offering a Pre-K through grade 8 program.

Our goal is to offer each child the highest quality education through Integral Formation®, the pedagogical method developed by the Legionaries of Christ. Through Integral Formation®, each student benefits from a personalized approach that develops the whole person, from intellect and character to spiritual life and apostolic responsibility. The result: intelligent, responsible, and positive leaders who will transform society with the Gospel values.

Here at Everest Academy, with our brand new campus opened for the fall 2009 school year, we are poised for growth and ready to give our students a Catholic educational experience that will last them a lifetime. Find out more by taking a tour of our campus.
