At Everest Academy our mission is the formation of Christian Leaders; the Integral Formation of the student as a well-rounded, solid, mature youth of character and integrity…
·         an authentic Catholic leader who lives according to the Gospel values
·         a leader in the community, home, work place and Church
·         a Leader with an apostolic heart, who has a genuine concern for and seeks to serve others

This is a noble mission to be accomplished and with God it can truly be accomplished! This mission is realized with the utmost importance we place on the integral formation of the student. We seek to have our students be more aware of their mission and how they are called to live this on an ongoing basis. Each week therefore the teachers and staff will recognize that student in the class who most exemplified the qualities of a Christian leader based on their own development and level of efforts in doing so.
The Student of the Week is one who has shown progress in all areas of their formation:  Human (social and character), Academic, Spiritual, and Apostolic. This student fore mostly has consistently practiced the virtue of charity, with his peers and his teachers. He or she has been an example in both word and deed throughout the week. He or she has been mindful of commitments, true to his/her word, well prepared for class, has completed and is steadfast and persevering in his/her assignments; participated respectfully in class; shown dedication, responsibility and orderliness.
This student has demonstrated true leadership in living the Faith–and encouraging others to live by their Faith in practicing charity and in exercising an apostolic outlook that has contributed to building school spirit in Christ.
The Student of the Week has been able to respond the invitation to participate in the accomplishment of duties in the school and has led others with generosity, fortitude, sincerity, industriousness and humility.

About Everest

Everest Academy Lemont, founded in 1995 as White Pines Academy, is a private Catholic school offering a Pre-K through grade 8 program.

Our goal is to offer each child the highest quality education through Integral Formation®, the pedagogical method developed by the Legionaries of Christ. Through Integral Formation®, each student benefits from a personalized approach that develops the whole person, from intellect and character to spiritual life and apostolic responsibility. The result: intelligent, responsible, and positive leaders who will transform society with the Gospel values.

Here at Everest Academy, with our brand new campus opened for the fall 2009 school year, we are poised for growth and ready to give our students a Catholic educational experience that will last them a lifetime. Find out more by taking a tour of our campus.
